Ye Olde Inn

I noticed some time ago that all the card art in the artchives have started to have a 'HeroQuest Ye Olde Inn' banner in the bottom center.
I'm pretty sure this happened around the time that Hasbro was doing their remake, and I'm guessing that this was some sort of defensive mechanism to make sure that credit is given where credit is due, or something like that.

But quite honestly, I hate it! I've been slowly working on creating sets of cards to go with my own mod system, and utilizing much of the art that I've found here at the Inn.
Now that I'm partway through the process, the art is now all tagged with that bottom center banner, which I do not want on my cards.

Is there a way to get around it? Or does anyone have a grand collection of card art that you can just dump into my adventuring backpack?

If you have GIMP/photoshop this sounds like it could be remedied using the clone/heal tool. As its in the corner, its probably covering something unimportant and uniform, which would make this straightforward. A bit of extra work but its the best I can think of:

There's also the unpleasant fact that some people have poached those "original creations" to print and sell on ebay, so I guess making more work for those looking for a quick buck at our expense (though to be fair, they're more likely to do this with the pdf's on the main page than the forums themselves)...

One of the things on my "at some point" todo list is to produce a better card generator tool. Given a PNG file (or ideally SVG), it should be able to create a card at EU, US, or poker size, using whatever text/font you choose, with some stylesheet elements if you want to be able to change the borders or backgrounds or whatever.

I mostly want to do this as a tool for translating fan-created cards.

That sounds great. A few more options should prove helpful for more creations.
