Character Sheets - How many?
I have been wondering, does anyone know how many sheets were on the original character sheet pad that came with the game?
Here I should make a distinction between the EU version from the UK with its minimalist pad and giant blank "coat of arms" and the NA US version with the parts that were shaded gray. These were the first two designs and a third one in the (EU only) Adventure Design Kit.
I think the US one had at least 75 sheets, possibly 80 (ones are being sold on Ebay as "used" with 68 or less sheets). I've seen UK sheets sold with 40 sheets (used) and "reproduction" ones with 75 sheets.
We ended up photocopying ours and I think we used about 36-39 original sheets with about that many left on the pad, working out to about 75. Who knows what ones might have simply gotten lost, chewed by pets or got thrown out when something spilled on them or somebody tore there's erasing too aggressively.
Just curious, and wondering what the games designers were shooting for. Yes, you could re-use sheets, but otherwise you could potentially be using 4 sheets per game, even per quest if you get a lot of total party kills. And the Adventure Design kit came with some much larger character sheets with a totally new design and as far as I know this was the only other release of character sheets in each territory outside of the game system. According to the Inn, this large pad contained 80 sheets (the only ones I've seen online had only a few left).
Anybody know?
