Frozen Horror Box Wrap

Postby Lowery_79 » January 24th, 2021, 5:31 pm

I have been wanting to post this for a while and finally getting around to it. So I guess this is a thing, I came across someone on the italain Heroquest site (http://heroquestforum.it/). Who had made a Box Wrap for the Frozen Horror quest pack. Though I have the file I can't seem to find the spot to download it again, so I can't share that link. But I thought I would at least tell you guess about it, so if anyone needs a box for the Frozen Horror and Elf Pack they could print this and wrap the box themselves. I printed mine at my local printer, and found this box at Hobby Lobby here in the Stats.

It was the perfect size for these two quest packs and it only cost ten bucks for the box (this box comes with some try things inside but I just chucked them out).

To do this project all I needed was the print, the box, some hobby utensils, Mod Podge (gloss kind) and I watched this you-tube video to show me how to wrap the box the right way.

I din't use spray glue though and I cover the whle finished wrapped box in the Mod Podge when I was done it almost looks store bought.
If anyone wants to see a pic of the finished product let me know and I can put a picture up.

That looks awesome. I’d like that for a few Packs, but lack the ability.

The end result is pretty impressive. It almost looks painted on (I guess in a way, it is). I was trying to create a "jumbo size" version of the HQ box to fit in all the extra components, out of a much sturdier type of cardboard, and I might borrow this technique for that someday. So many projects sitting around... so little time. But it's cool to see new tips and ideas to help bring those projects closer to completion!
