What are the differences between US and European versions?

I played through the campaign of the European version (Finnish to be exact) and found it to be way too easy. Now I am looking to replay the game with the US version rules.
What are the differences between the versions and which one do you like better?
I know for one that the European version states that all monsters have 1 body point. Every single one. The US version has more variability on this front.
Looking forward to playing the harder version with US rules.
