Heroquest Dice question

Postby LordChaosX » October 3rd, 2019, 8:08 pm

So I was looking over Reddit today and came across this post in regards to some Heroquest dice this guy got from eBay and was wanting to place where exactly they are from. I know for sure they aren't from Advanced HeroQuest unless like I said on the post they are from a version I don't know about. I want to say they are like the multicolor ones I've seen for sale that have the multiple skulls/shields on the different sides. Any of the experts here have a clue if these dice are custom made or not?

These are fan made/fan ordered custom dice. Don't know if they are usable with those blank sides....

I thought as much. Seems the poster thinks they are UK Battlemaster dice.

There is Spielwarensaloon.de who offers selfmade dice,
with lots of different distributions, but the original one is also there. They DONT look and feel like Heroquest dice, but still they are okay.

They are not custom made, they are BattleMaster (Die Claymore Saga) dice by MB... They are made of red plastic instead of wood.
They have 3 Skulls and 2 White Shields plus a blank face. You can use the blank face as a Black Shield for the monsters.
They are a good replacement of the official HQ dice or you can use that blank side for special actions with custom rules but for special dice better visit that German site.

Possibly, though he did state: They have 3 skulls, 1 shield and 2 blank sides

But given the poking around I did I was leaning toward the Die Claymore Saga dice. Perhaps he misquoted the sides in his post when he was asking about them.

Yes they are UK Battlemasters dice. I have 2 sets and a US set. They make great HQ dice. Just count blanks as White Shields and the shield as a Black Shield. They are very durable.
