Currently I don't think it would be suitable for hero's hands, but maybe as evil device in evil hands?

1509 there was a German, Conrad Haas, who wrote a book about how to build rockets. It includes the concept of a three stage rocket. You could hit a city with it, but not a house.
The wooden stick would wobble during flight and cause the rocket to miss anything smaller than some soccer fields.
But it worked.
Somehow.

Ahh the joys of rockets bouncing down a corridor as you run furiously to evade the explosion. I've experienced that first hand, but it was a back alley.

Like with sidestepping a train that's charging towards you instead of trying to run ahead of it, the best way to avoid such a rocket is to run towards it and dodge it, instead of running in the same direction as the rocket. The chance to getting caught in an explosion is much smaller, unless you fail to dodge it .

So a rocket is just a fast moving fireburst trap? Hahaha I have to try that.

I never noticed this thread until now but it turns out I used this exact image in my "De-Magicified" mod (just flipped). Basically as a replacement for the Genie, the "Chinese Rocket."

The idea of firearms in HQ rubbed me the wrong way, but we do have crossbows and we do have magic. So in a sense we have single use, primitive firearms, so there you go. Great stuff!
