What Happens When The Heroes Eat?

Postby torilen » May 3rd, 2018, 9:35 am

Next time you play, add just a touch of role playing to your game.
The heroes eat. Roll a combat die to determine how the food and drink
reacts to the heroes guts. Burps and Farts will echo through dungeons
and stone hallways and attract attention from monsters. Bad heart burn
can disrupt fighting, aiming, and casting spells (ever choke on stomach
acid - if so, you'll know this is a fact!).

Roll that combat die - skulls show that something was not quite right with
that last meal. Not enough to make them sick, but enough... ... ...

Eat more of that random food that you find lying around a dungeon.

If the heroes get thirsty the wizard can put some Lemony Goodness in a bucket and cast the purify food and water spell. Then you could roll to see if he/she succeeded.

Oh Thor-in - you set me up so nicely.

I've got just the supplement for anyone seeking to do that. It is free/pay what you want.

Questing Heroes Harvest Time Vol. 1
offers a few new magic spells. They should translate into HeroQuest very nicely. One cleans
drinking water, the other conjures fresh fruit and veggies. These could be turned into some
sort of magical item to offer the characters. It would be a nice addition to a set of quests that
take place in a swamp, where fetid water and muck are in abundance.

A meal found in the dungeon if eaten roll a Skull for a +4 to Movement for the next three rounds.
WShield- +2 movement but you fart for the three rounds lol.
BShield- -2 movement for three rounds.

Not to OP, not to useless though.

Anyone remember the old Dark Eye computer games? Simply starving when travelling overland was a common cause of party wipeout.
Have a look ;)
