Greetings everyone, have a great year with much happiness and health for you and your families!

How many of you have observed that the chaos warrior has two different gloves? The left hand does indeed bear a glove but the right hand is covered by a gauntlet. If you look closely, you can clearly see the left hand's fingers yet if you look at the hand holding the axe, you can understand that it is part of an armour. Been playing this game since 1991 yet this is the first time I spotted this.

I have noticed this but never put any thought into why they are different. Looking at the box art and the envy metal the chaos warrior doesn’t have a gauntlet in ether.

The right hand holds the upper part of the axe staff while the left hand will handle the base. So it is easier that an opponet's attack could ends its way over the right hands because it is more exposed. That's why they need an extra protection on it.
This is how I've always interpreted it.

Speaking of the models on the box art, many of those are different to what actually came with the game. Notably the , who holds himself in a different stance, and the and which have differently shaped scimitars.

Do any of you Inn members have these alternative models? The Barbarian in particular looks pretty cool. I wonder if we had been given this original figure in our sets maybe we wouldn't have had so many bent/broken swords

Same unmatching hands as the monopose Chaos Warriors that GW released a few years later, which is a very similar sculpt. Probably the same sculptor.

The updated version of the "Slambo" mold released last year continues the trend.

If yes... well, I guess only Brian Ansell got them!! (and very few other people very close to him)

Great photo! Whilst I think we did get better models in the game, I would still love to get my hands on those little guys.
