How to fix a warped game board?

I just got a third copy of the game (its not a complete copy but who cares its HeroQuest) the only problem is that the game board is wrapped. My question is has anyone ever fixed a wrapped game board before and if so how did they do it.... Any help with this issue would be great thanks.

Well, if anyone in here has actual experience or knowledge in this matter, I'll step back, as I have neither.
But as long as nobody else anwers, here's what I would try in this situation:
Find some hard and evenly plane object (like a board of wood or a large [cheap] book). Take care it has no (or very stable) coloring, so it wouldn't stain the gameboard. Put some heavy weights on it (books, stones). Put it in a warm place / the oven for some hours.

Good luck!

Big Bene,

Thanks for your input, I never would of thought to put it some place warm like the oven. That makes sense seeing as warm things are more pliable and as long as its on a flat surface when it cools it should be strait. I have had it under all my D&D books and fantasy board games for about a week or so with no luck. This sounds promising, thanks again.

If it doesn't work that way, try it again with a separate pan of water in the oven to add extra humidity.

clmckay,

Thanks for the input, if the other doesn't work I'll give that a try as well. When I do it I'll let everyone know if it worked or not.

Last night I tried both ideas at once and they work :o . The only problem is that the board was so wrapped I will have to do it again :( . Thanks again Big Bene, and clmckay for the suggestions.
