Getting My Group to Play....

Is like getting the sun NOT to shine! When I first suckered everyone into my addiction it was great, but we haven't even made it to KK yet and... Just Uggh! Sorry for the rant! I just wanted to share my pain :D

Been quite a while since I've played as well. Lately it's been a struggle to get a game going. Of any sort.

My group has the hardest time getting more than 2 heros - one of which is me, and the other the DMs 10 yr old son... *sigh*
The other two are the guys who painted my figs - and one of them is my cousin!

Well.

At least we played last night. Getting to the end of the game system quests, too. I liked the magic doors quest, where they whooshed you all over the frikkin place.
Then we did the $$$$ quest after it.
Pix to follow.

Yeah it's hard to find time to get everyone together for heroquest, I mean my group is sure enthusastic but we just haven't had that much time.

I was wondering do you guys think it's a good idea to put 8 heroes on one quest if it's a difficult one?

It is a bit tough. But when we do, man, it's nuts.
We've gotten through everything in a whole day. And I mean fan made and all. It was great. But, we havent played since.
Check out my new character: Halfling! I promise you will consider using it!

in a whole day? like, are you guys EIGHT heroes?? That could do it.

Mostly when u add more heroes, add more monsters or beef up the ones you have.

More Heroes means more time taking turns moving and performing actions for those Heroes. It's better to reduce the number of Monsters, change Monsters to a lower type in their colour class, and/or throw in extra potions (heal, or otherwise). My opinion only though.

It varies. The more posts you have, the more you need to reach the next rank though. As to what each of them are, or what the next one is... I prefer to keep it as a surprise. Although there is actually a pattern.

i vote we make an online Heroquest game that plays just like the board game but every one can play from all parts of the world and yeah there might be some name probs thats why you name it different EX: Quest Online, Quest Crawl. something like that. i plan on going to video game design school so i could help big time.

We have the same problem with finding time to get a game going. The issue isn't getting all the people together (the heroes are our 11 year old son, 8 year old daughter, 7 year old daughter, and myself. Zargon of course is my husband) the problem is my being in school all week, having homework, and studying for tests. So our games happen on the weekends, with us going through two-three quests per night. It's all fun though, even when poor "little" Zargon" is a sore loser.
