How do you make the cards for the homebrew quests? Sorry complete RPG newbie here...

drathe has some great templates here:

They are the ones I use. He also has a tutorial for achieving the HQ look for your images here:

But the cards forum has a lot of great stuff:

If all else fails, if you are trying to achieve a certain look, just ask away. There are a lot of awesome people here willing to give advice and share their experience.

What I mean is... how do I get them printed?

Ahh. My apologies. www.printerstudio.com seems to be a popular site to use, although I have yet to print any up.

Get some card stock, put it in your printer and fire it up.
There are companies you can go to that make custom cards, but it will cost you more than it is worth to have them made.

I printed mine on cardstock and, after some cutting, put them in card sleeves.



Actually, the equipment cards were even cheaper. I did them in black and white on regular paper. I figure they're easily replaced that way.
I was surprised how well they turned out, even the regular paper ones. I used Mayday Games sleeves, a tiny bit bigger than needed. I got euro size, 59mm x 92mm, cheap on ebay. Be sure, if you go this way, to get the ones that say "125% thicker" on the label so that they feel good in the hand and you can shuffle them easily.

God, why didn't I think of that. I will just get hard plastic card sleeves, and just print them on black and white paper. I don't care LOL.

Tiles you want in a thicker cardstock than you use for cards. I printed mine on regular paper and taped them to pieces of poster-size cardboard paper cut into the appropriate sizes. You'll want to make sure the size of the tile matches the scale of your board, of course.

For tiles I print on regular paper then I glue stick that paper to a piece of cardboard I take from a cereal box. Makes great tiles. Be sure to lay it out right and maybe iron them a bit after drying. (no steam lol)
