HEROSCAPE has begun to rehash D&D figures to save money which, as a Heroscape player, I'm okay with. I would be open to Hasbro or Wizards doing something like that with Hero Quest. Actually, if Hero Quest is ever reproduced, it will probably be released under the WotC label.

On a side note, has anyone seen WotC's upcoming Castle Ravenloft board game? The pictures I've seen look surprisingly like Advanced Hero Quest.

Who does it belong to after 2015?

WotC owns Heroscape not Hasbro not any more. Hero Quest has nothing to do with WotC and the new D&D board games (Ravenloft, and the one after that) are to be played like the original D&D board games or like the D&D minis do to the fact that that game is now technically dead, and the reason why they are still making the minis is not for the minis game but for the use in 4th edition D&D.

Well, Hasbro owns Wizards of the Coast who currently manufactures HeroScape. Hasbro also owns Milton Bradley, who previously manufactured HeroScape. Hasbro owns HeroScape, but picks which of their subsidiaries manufacture their products.

I didn't mean to imply the new D&D games played like Hero Quest. Only that they were similar in the way the tiles fit together (from the pictures I've seen of the games) like Advanced Hero Quest. I've never played Advanced Hero quest. Nor have I ever seen the physical game, just pictures.
