Ye Olde Inn

There is a local gaming gathering by me that happens 3 times a year. The next one is in a week and a half. You could kind of call it a "mini-convention" if you squinted and turned your head sideways. At best, several dozen people packed into the back play room of a FLGS. Markedly less this year since Gameday happens to be on the same day as Origins (a way bigger gaming convention in Ohio) and many Gameday regulars will be attending Origins instead.

Anyhow, I wanted to let you fine folks know that I will be running HeroQuest that day the entire day! Once for the morning session, and again in the afternoon session.

I tried running it for Gameday 37 a few months ago but no one signed up so I canceled the event. This time, however, players actually signed up! (2 as of this writing.) I'm really excited about this.

I know the vast majority of you reading this now are not anywhere nearby to attend, but that's okay. This post wasn't made to try and get more attendees (though that would be spectacular), but rather to just acknowledge that this wonderful game is still being supported in public places (by yours truly).

I'm not even a Brit but....Bloody bollocks!

I just found out there's a family issue I need to be a part of on that day, so I'm going to have to cancel. This really irritates me because I was looking forward to it.

Yeah, you just hate it when some pointless "real life things" come in between you and your game, don't you?

It's not even really that so much. It's more that I've been planning on attending this thing the last two times it's happened, and both times something has happened that has made me cancel. That's what is so frustrating.

Oh man that sucks. Can't you reschedule?
nm, just read that you weren't the one organizing the event.

Hopefully when it comes back around in a few months I might be able to make it. We'll see.

Or maybe the universe is plotting against me and making it so that I can never go.
