Paper 3D boards

I'm also a bit envious of the 3D boards out there, but I know I do not have the skills to build and paint such things. I then stumbled across a site that sells paper 3D boards. Has anyone used anything like this? I worry it would be too flimsy to actually use, and probably too tricky to cut out.

You have to buy a Cutter. Think of a printer, that cuts--instead of prints, *lemony goodness* out to specification.

If it fits your budget and you don't mind cutting go for it. I've seen some pretty good paper figures. Not my thing but I've seen a few good things with it.

I've got a starter collection of digital files that I've yet to print out. I did do a test run of a set of stairs, though. They came out pretty decently. The instructions to put them together were pretty simple. And even though I printed it on standard 20lb printer paper, I'm sure if I had printed it on something much thicker like 80 or 100lb paper or card stock, it would have turned out much nicer.
