Does anyone know the admin at the Old Scratch's HeroQuest forums? I've registered an account but still waiting for it to be approved. Just wondering if anyone know anyone over there.

I don't hear that much about old scratch's site these days. Check the posts, make sure there are recent posts...that people are still
using the site.
Some of the rpg and D&D sites I go find, I have to do that...some have been semi-abandoned.

It's very quiet over there, but not inactive. It's just that almost any new idea or discussion is posted here rather than there.
The brunt of the shift started taking place one and a half years ago. I was there.

This is a much better site, even before the vast expansion of material.

About a year ago or whenever, I started getting back into my HeroQuest obsession and looked up fan forums, and registered at both Old Scratch and here... and quickly learned that I preferred here for several reasons: 1) MUCH more content/discussion, 2) much more aesthetically pleasing, 3) much more friendly, 4) I prefer the "tone" here.

The whole Japanese Quests is a good example: someone was originally translating them and posting them over there, and then some of the members engaged in some super crass humor that seemed to have played a contributing factor in that translator vanishing.

He vanished three weeks before the jokes. He registered, logged in once, posted his first 8 quests and never returned. And there were apologies meant very very seriously.
I doubt he ever read jokes or apologies.
