Would you lend out your copy of HQ to a friend?

I've hosted three quests with a particular friend, and he's asking to borrow the game for the weekend so he can treat his out-of-town friend to a special side adventure, at a time when I won't be able to participate. He initially wanted me to host this side adventure but I couldn't attend this weekend.
This box holds the contents of apox 1.85 system sets, and all figures/tiles/cards for kellar's keep, return of the witchlord, and wizards of morcar, plus several custom figures.
I trust my friend, but my instinct is to say "no," simply on the basis of worrying about all those parts staying together without me being there to keep an eye on things. My babies!
What are your thoughts on the subject? I'll most likely fall back on my instincts, but I thought I'd ask what you guys thought, more as a matter of discussion.

No. No debate. Talisman or any other game, yes. But not HQ.

If you have rare/painted mianiatures replace them with unpainted and lend it if you trust him. Everything else can be found on e-bay in case of accident/loss (with your friend as a buyer i hope!)..otherwise follow your instict.

Unpainted base set - maybe, sure
Expansion/painted/custom/rare - nope
It might "just" be a board game, but it's still valuable both in actual money but also invested time.
Perhaps you could make a box with only the basic parts?
And remind him not to bend the board the freakin' wrong way when he is done playing!

It's about the value of money and time put into it.
And let's not forget I trust my friend, but not his friends.

I wouldn't give it to anybody, if I wouldn't be with that guy

Heroquest is essentially an anyique in gaming terms. And how many antique rental stores have you ever seen? Lol.
On the other hand its nice to see sharing and introduction to other players

only if he lends you his car/house/wife - whatever he values most, as security.
