Light and Nature Spells Card Art

Postby Patroclus » October 27th, 2013, 8:13 pm

I've make a card art for a school of spells called "Light" and "Nature"... It's Gary Chalk's and I've only put the colors and the label. This will be compatible with HQ Card Maker program.

Good call using GC art. Makes it tie in better with the original stuff.

Gary Chalk's card art is one of my favorite features of HQ--i feel that any art I draw for the cards will be influenced by this, and possibly Edward Gorey. Masterful crosshatchers and black & white illustrators!

I think if you push the book and its stand a little upwards it's gonna be more balanced.
So far that beneath the parchment text there's only black and the book lies more centrally in front of the light. I think that would look good.

But it does, anyway, of course.

I have update the first post with the two schools of magic in both versions. I’ve tried to not change the original artwork.
