Need help from any designer/programmer in the forum

I have a problem. I can paint decent but I have no imagination whatsoever. So I have to copy patterns and colour schemes from other people's paintjob if I find them to be nice. But what if I could envision the result of a miniature before I put any test colour on it and making it messy?
I suppose someone with designing or programming skills (which I do not have) could invent a program or application that has pictures of the heroquest minis with no colours and the user could add any colours they want to see if they look good together.
I am trying to paint a wizard and during the selection of colours I came up with this. I drew a picture of the wizard on the paint program and I put the colours I wanted to check the result.

This is my drawing. That's the best I could do. Sue me!

I bet anyone here could do better and surely someone with skills could do a lot better than that or come up with a different idea.
At least if anyone could make nicer drawings than that so I can use them I'd appreciate it if they shared them with me.

If you're using a paint program, have you considered importing an image of the miniature? Then you can colour over the image in detail.

I have considered it and tried it at first actually but I can't do it because I mess the thing up as I can't paint in detail using the mouse. It takes me forever. My only hope is a blank sketch of the hero so I can load paint with the bucket in every place that is to be coloured and compare the results.

I think I can help.

I can make an accurate line drawing that you can open in mspaint or similar program and floodfill the areas of colour.

But I'm a bit busy at the moment so I wouldn't be able to churn them out very quickly.

Let me know what your painting priorities are and I'll make a start in the next few days.

Thank you very much for your offer but I don't need them right now. I just completed painting a whole HeroQuest set for someone (I'll post the whole thing later this week) and I won't need it until the next time I have to paint something. The main problem I have is on the Elf and Wizard. For the Elf I copied a scheme found on this forum (can't remember whose it is) and it looks great. For the Wizard I had to improvise and though it is a nice paintjob, I don't think many will find it to be fitting for the Wizard. If you find the time I would appreciate a nice drawing of the Elf and Wizard but there is no rush at all. Thanks!

Thanks for the suggestion but I am totally useless when it comes to using a program I 'm not familiar with. I have to have somenone over my head the first five hundred times I'm gonna use it and then I'll be fine using it on my own.
