Is there a chance that there will be a new version or a
remastered version of our favorite HQ? Or a continuation?
Any news? Or Info?

Never say never, but honestly I don't think it will ever happen.
MB have never shown any interest in doing anything with their old game, let alone reviving it.
And as far is I understand it they don't even have the right to the name anymore.

Luckily the fans are keeping it alive and fresh via sites like this :-)

I figure when the folks who own HQ decide to re-release the game you will have them sending out lawyers to close these unofficial sites with all this extra player created content.

As it stands I doubt that is likely to happen. There are guys making remakes of the old figures and selling them on the bay and there is no hint that anyone cares to enforce any claims to this game.

I figure that they are going to just let it expire into the public domain eventually.
So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you can win a hundred battles without a single loss.
If you only know yourself, but not your opponent, you may win or may lose.
If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.

I always had a thought about this. Couldn't any random company make a game called "The Game Based On Hero Quest But Not Called Hero Quest For Copyright Purposes" with ridiculously similar rules?
They would need to come up with new quests/campaigns (not that hard to find a few right here :) ) and change the Fimir to something else (bugbear perhaps?) due to the Fimir being Intellectual Property of Games Workshop.

Look at what happened when Games Workshop released that limited edition Space Hulk 3rd edition game. It sold out in 3 days. They could equally cash in on HQ if they wanted to.

orcsbane - check this out:
viewtopic.php?f=38&t=879

I've taken HQ and D&D and mixed them. It is still quite simple and easy to use, but offers more
than HQ does. You might like it. I'll be adding and updating it soon, so if you like what you see...
keep an eye out.
I plan on selling this - I've offered the basic stuff for free on this site, just because I like these
guys so much. Any extras and adventures I write for it...people will have to pay for those.

Notice that it can easily be used with all of the published HQ quest packs...the evil wizard will
have to tweak the monsters stats and/or numbers a bit, but it works pretty good just the same.

A long-time fan of HeroQuest created (well, it's not finalized yet) his own print-and-play dungeon-crawler called, appropriately enough, Dungeon Crawl. Check out this link, maybe you will like it. He included a stripped-down, solo demo you can download- it is a lot like HeroQuest.
