yeah, well, the cursing might be toned down a bit in my opinion. I like fun, and I like the occasional mild swearing (like crap, damn, even fraggle) but this is getting a bit too much... Let's keep it fun people. A little less on the zombie dicks and *pinky finger* licking please.

Agreed... I didn't like this one... I liked ow the firt episode showed really different guys with different peronnalities! Maybe you should stress more on the elf/barbarian character. How is he going to react now half his personality is gone? In addition, why not try to make joke about the a funny rule of the game ? Try to depict typical situation from the game?

How about you make the video the way you want to? How about that?

Some ppl will love it (like me) some ppl will want you to change it, but in the end you're making it for yourselves, not for others. So even if there's one I can't stand, that's too bad - they're not here primarily to please me!

Well, when you make a video, and post it on youtube for all the world to see, you obviously want others to like it. Don't be surprised if you get critisizm.

In would think that the filmakers want feedback, both postive and negative. These videos will obviously appeal to HeroQuest fans which is why the creators posted them here in the first place. Outside of the vulgarity, this latest installment does not use the game characters and mechanics to drive the plot as well as the previous episodes. I'll keep watching either way.

Well... I gave it a try.

I had to stop watching after the second episode. Just too excruciating. I don't mean that as criticism. It's just hitting that Ricky Gervais comedy-of-cringing-embarrassment note for me. I'm not really into that kind of comedy. Different strokes and all that.

However, there's one criticism I do want to make: the tone seemed a bit mean-spirited. Haha, look at those nerdy dorks! What losers! Let's laugh at them! Yeah... not my thing. I'd rather be laughing with them, if you see what I mean. Maybe it changes later in the series. I don't know.

Also, it's a bit too crass for my tastes. (I did laugh at the Barbarian's helpful 'trophy toss'.)

The technical execution is amazing though. The acting, the editing--it's top notch.

I agree with Zenith, it's about the type of humour. I love Ricky Gervais but I don't think these guys do, I didn't relate to his type of humour.
It's just that (I think most of us) wanted to see stuff more related to HQ. I wanted to see them planning to enter a difficult room and then when the first person enters, the others would flee! Or some crazy dice rolls. Maybe disputing over the rules. The typical HQ stuff.
This videos have their humour and could be appreciated by none HQ fans easily. But HQ fans HAVE to like this type of humour to enjoy it, otherwise they can't relate.

Glad to see that these videos are causing so much discussion. When we made them we knew our sense of humor wouldn't play for some people and that's totally okay with us. We made them because we thought it would be fun and we wanted to share it with other people. Some people that like QUESTing have never played HQ and have gotten interested in the game because of that. Some big time HQ fans hate it because of the cursing and content. That's what we tried to walk to line of, sometimes we were successful, other times we crashed and burned. What I do love about all of you is that you are voicing all your opinions, both positive and negative, respectfully with very good arguments supporting those opinions. As you all know the internet can be a really ugly place so the fact that you all are taking time and being respectful really means a lot to us. Thanks again for the support and feedback and hopefully in the remaining 7 episodes we can all find something to like. Happy New Year to you all.

We have 7 more filmed and on the way to being edited, so we have at least 7 more covering the original book of Quests. We are based in NYC and most of us were affected by hurricane Sandy and had to deal with that. Unfortunately two of our crew (our Co Director and Marian) had to move out of the area so we are dealing with that with the expansion packs. We hope to do more and hope to do them better, so keep a look out.
