Oh I see what you mean, you're talking about excuses to create new miniatures (or paint jobs) for the Remake edition... because there's no Mentor figure for classic HeroQuest. He's only being included for pledgers who bought the Mythic Tier as a Wizard alternate (only confirmed to be used in Rogar's Hall, as mentioned).


A visionary form of Mentor appears in the Dark Company I think.

I’m talking mix between old and new. The Abominations won’t be in anyone’s collection either until they receive the new HasbroQuest. For those who didn’t buy the Mythic Tier, they would still have a chance to buy the “officially released” figure somewhere, whether it’s from Hasbro or Ripoffbay.

Rise of the Chaos God has a Chaos Warrior holding a bow. From everything I’ve found, there are no Chaos Warriors that hold bows. That is why I thought maybe the character substitutions would make sense. Also, how do you venture to the Far East and not run into local threats?

Actually I have a solution... Samurai chaos warriors and ninja goblins. The gargoyles would look different too. Enjoy...

I guess great minds think alike. However you want to do it, I personally have no problem playing it with classic units. It would be like if somebody was selling me a samurai story and I was like "no, no, no, they should all be turned into cowboys with guns" (actually this happened... Kurosawa was inspired to make his Samurai movies based on old Westerns, and Westerns were made inspired by his Samurai movies! see the Seven Samurai and the Magnificent Seven).

There are pockets of beastmen on Nippon and tunnels for skaven to get there. Mention of Chaos Warriors, Chaos Sorcerers, Oni (Oriental Ogres), Undead Samurai, Wako Pirates, and Hobgoblins just across the sea in Cathay (no other mention of greenskins near). Those are possible monsters to keep it in theme.
