I agree, drugs are dangerous. Especially alcohol when in excess. Partly because it impairs your ability to determine you own level of intoxication! And it's poison. You can die from alcohol poisoning.
I'm proud to live in Washington state, where cannabis is no longer a crime. Pretty soon it will be available to purchase from reputable dealers, and the taxes go to promote drug awareness.
While I don't encourage drug use, at least now we have a safe and legal alternative.

I hate smoking, too.
Here's why: it's oh so dangerous for everyone's health and to dam smoking in the EU has labels printed on cigarette packs reading "Smoking kills".
Well, why not prohibit freakin' tobacco like any other drug/poison?
Ah yes. The cartells. Politics and money and lobbyists and blowjobs and money and money and bribery and lies and politics and DEMOfuCRACY.
If everyone stopped smoking on the same day (it's doable if I freakin' DID IT!) we could financially kill this whole industry who's a REALLY BIG PART of the world's problems.

Sorry. Had to let off steam.

I FULLY AGREE kk!
It's hypocritical to have tobacco be legal while pot for instance being illegal. They should both be legal! Just kidding, they should both be illegal.
Luckily in Denmark it's slowly getting more socially unacceptable to smoke. It's illegal in all public buildings and most people don't allow it in their homes.
And I really think that is the way to go about it. Making it illegal didn't really work out so great for pot. Making it illegal just opens up a criminal marked because people still want to smoke.
You have to change the mindset of people. Then the problem will resolve itself.
But it's hard, as you said, the cartels etc... Pushing in the wrong direction. What we have is certainly not democracy, it's a mockery of it.
It's not one man one vote - all votes are equal. On paper maybe, but certainly not in reality.
Those with the dough can influence stuff. Joe Average can just stfu and obey.

The state of democracy:
100,000 people vote for one guy to represent them.
He makes decisions, suggestedly in the 100,000 people's favor.
So, these 100,000 people agree on every topic that guy represents them on and makes his decision?

THERE IS NO DEMOCRACY!
Here's how democracy would work:
Every household gets internet access (*which is possible, wouldn't ya know).
Any one freakin' decision that has to be made is presented on the internet in all its detail.
Anyone willing to put a vote on the decision within a given timeframe puts in their vote.
There you go: one man, one voice.

Hey it seems you guys live in 'Muricuh too! IF only the irony wasn't so biting in that statement... Do your best and be an ethical, honorable, honest person. Sarcasm: And if the possibility ever presents itself be sure to take as many politicians out with out as you can when you go. /Sarcasm

OK. Back to HQ drinks and staying on topic! I finally got my vials I ordered. First order didn't have the 5 bigger ones so the shipped those after I let them know. Got 10 small and 5 big. Now to load them up with fun stuff so when they drink a healing or assorted potion the drink the vial. Occassionally I'll put in a "poison" vial filled with straight lemon juice & salt or something of that nature. We all knew the Elf was a pansy and this image proves it, even the Wizard is still standing. That shows how much of a pansy the Elf really is. I just find actually making the players do something when their heroes perform an action adds a little bit more to the game. That's why I made my summons and added the vials. Not sure what else I can add to this but I'll end up with something.
Edit: I forgot about mentioning a side quest inside of the next quest I'll do, #5 I think. I'll write a note on a scrap of paper and stuff it into a vial. On searching a room they'll find the vial as treasure and they'll get to open it and actually read the note. Here's hoping the'll be able to figure it out and I can write about it on the blog!
[Reveal] Spoiler: "Is that really coke in the small vials? The white one on the right is salt+stevia for a poison vial"
No KnightKrawler that isn't coke in there its just ground up candy nerds. I didn't have anything else and wanted to get rid of them.

Nothing alcoholic for my play group but it'll still be fun. I'm sure many of you could come up with alcoholic versions easily enough.
