I been waiting here for an update.

If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.

Yeah, been holding my breath and crossing my fingers that the lass appreciated the thought here and was not expecting her man to coordinate a flash-mob to Beyonce's 'Single Ladies' in a public mall or similar...*Chuckle*...

Heh... That was not just a rejection, that was a look of disdain on her face... Like she'd been meaning to tell him it was over but never got around to it... Ouch.

Whoops, sorry I kind of fell off for a bit there, gang.

It went about as smooth as could be expected, which is to say not quite as smooth as I envisioned, but smooth enough that they both seem happy about it.
Gizzard wanted his sister and some other close friends present, so we did a general gaming night, with our usual group doing HeroQuest and some others playing lighter games on another table.
The transition from game to proposal was a little awkward, especially for Lady Darwin. She definitely did not see the proposal coming at all (but it seems everyone else was made aware of it), and she was quite taken aback at being put on the spot like this. But, I think that could have happened regardless of how he had proposed.
And in the end, she said "Yes" and that's all that really matters. The ring in the chest was pretty damn slick, so thanks again for sending it, Stratos!

Gotta say, I'm looking forward to a normal quest after all this.

No problem! Glad that proposal went better than the one in that video.

YAY!
Love the picture of the two heroes with the ring and cards in the background!
