Minis recast on ebay - copyright infringement

The bidding STARTS at $80, but he's looking for $120. That's gouging.

It's f'ing frustrating.

Okay, how about we bill this guy out at $25/hour. He's losing money BIG TIME. Never mind trying to recoup the overhead as listed here. Certainly not profiteering, more likely a labor of love.

I would not personally produce and sell items like this, but I sure am glad that there are people who do this (for out of print items of course).

I had convinced myself that I did not want the barbarian quest at all (actually I think it was a post by KK where he said he would sell it if it was given to him ). But the other expansions go for about $70 on e-bay, so if I can grab these figures, I can print the rest.

The quality of these re-casts is "high"? There looks to be a LOT of flash, but the detail is there?

I don't know about his, but I can tell you that Bill's recasts have the detail. I ordered the Elf pack figures from him, the high mage, and the female barbarian. All of them are very detailed. I don't believe you can get the same amount of detail from metal that you can plastic/resin but I could be wrong.

We've seen the difference in quality. It is overwhelming how bad goldendboy82's recasts are and how much he rips off people.
Goldendboy's perceived quality is worth 6 Euro, Bill's 75 Euro. There's your comparison.

Actually, and in all earnest, you can literally sculpt your own minis with Fimo or Green Stuff or something, using almost exclusively your fingers, to achieve goldendboy's quality.
You don't need to follow all StratosVX's instructions, just go ahead with it, and prove us all that quality need not be as expensive as we're all as experienced hobbyists are willing to pay the price for.

Ah… The scary side of KickStarter. When you pledge to a kickstarted, there is always the chance that it will fail. The sculpts in this project are absolutely hilarious and horrifying at the same time!

Those are awful. It looks like the claim is that the original sculptor jumped ship and those are the replacement models. Whole project looks fishy.
