I say you do be lying... You'll never have all your minis painted, that's just heresy.

My site is in my sig.

I'm uploading stuff near constantly right now. The advanced stuff should show up sooner or later, but the basics are my priority.

Don't walk your monsters to the door then. Wait til they come in!!! Use Chaos Tokens.

I've got a write up of some ideas but no increasing B/M. It's not finished yet, far from it... https://www.dropbox.com/s/9cs45vvc9576fl8/A%20Hero%27s%20Quest%20V1.0.pdf?dl=0

Feel free to add some input or contribute. I might add a trap section next after seeing another thread that has just been revived here.

They'd wait till the start of their turn then open the door. If they could dispatch all the monsters they'd plow in and slaughter. If not they'd pick off what they could from the doorway and wait for me to walk in... Yeah... not much that could be done according to the base rules when you have people constantly trying to powergame. I've enough ideas in the works with how to circumvent it or incorporate it in. Among which searching for traps doesn't reveal all the traps unless enough success follow

Epic. How did you approach advancement once the equipment was bought out? Perhaps you reset with new Heroes? How many different Quests did you play? Were there any particularly effective tricks to keep it fresh? I imagine your advanced rules will cover some of this.

Now that is a gateway game. I need to buy the remake for my kid.

Anderas wrote:...I ordered Gamezone's HQ25 for re-entering into the game, with modular tiles, with 2x furniture and game markers, and I added Twisted Catacombs furniture on top.
I've just seen the spanish rules of Gamezones' HQ 25 in the net some days ago. They appear to be very useable. I will see if they are fun or not during the first tests, and if not, I have the great fall back solution of the much-too-simple HQ original, beefed up with House rules, additional artifacts, Spelll Schools and everything else that i gather over time, here in Yeoldeinn and over at HQ-cooperation.
First, i will play the game with my game club of 40k players, then later with my daughter and my wife. By the time she is 5, i will have everything painted, i guess. :) I hope.

That's basically my plan, as well. My group won't accept vanilla Hero Quest, so I'm collecting an alternate deluxe to give them reason enough to give it a go.

That's... odd...

What's wrong with them? I'm assuming they've never even tried it?
