The shipping to Canada is $135USD for mystic teir. The game and shipping together is almost $400CAD. If it's that much just to ship across the border, I wonder how much it would be to ship internationally.

I'm in. To be fair, I knew I would be before we knew what the timer was actually leading us towards.

I have a solid history with KS, but know very little about Pulse. For example, I don't know how long it typically takes to produce a unique offering like HQ with as many moving parts as it includes--particularly with expansions up front. I also don't know if this will ultimately be a one and done, or if these projects can lead to retail editions with new expansion content and the like. I did see that HQ was "Only available through HasLab", but again I don't really know what that means big picture.

I am disappointed for those fans outside the US who would have wanted in, and similarly disappointed that this likely means that the unique content previously released in other markets probably will not be available--at least not affordably in the US. I, like others here and elsewhere, assume this is all about licensing, but it seems short-sighted to not make the project broader in scale thus allowing reprints of all the content from from previous releases available to everyone. I get that it wouldn't make much sense for a company like this to use a tool like KS when they have a proprietary analog... But I cannot help but feel that's limiting the potential of a project like this one that is relying heavily on nostalgia. Nostalgia that is absolutely not localized to any one particular market.

I've got mixed feelings about the rules being a "Faithful Reproduction" of the original. On one hand, I know this will make a lot of people quite happy. On the other hand, I started house ruling stuff almost from the beginning, so I know I was never overly satisfied with the original RAW. The simplicity of the system at least allows for that quite easily.

I don't know if I'm excited or not really. I'll be glad to finally have a pristine copy again, and with KK and RotWL, some expansions as well, (My original copy w/Expansions, is long gone other than the box, dice, and board), but I really would have liked to have seen more legacy content. That is, content that would receive a similar spit-shine and re-release into the wild.

Ahh, well... Again, I'm still all in.

No matter which way I look at it there are good things and bad about this reboot.

Does it suck it's only in the US right now....absoulty however it was released in Europe in 1989 before the US in 1990. Small potatoes, it will end up world wide.

Do I have issues with other parts of the game yes but it's not really relevant.

I see it this way, for $200 I can have a fresh copy of the game and two expansions for the price of the original on Evilbay...which those prices have gone up to $300 for a incomplete copy sense yesterday. Would I rather the original, more then you know, however I still need to keep food on my table and a roof over my kids heads. In my book this is a win of sorts.

I'm surprised at all the negativity. I would have assumed a faithful remake would be what people wanted, but everyone is complaining that it's TOO faithful?

I backed it at Mythic tier immediately because it's clear they will be fully backed (and then some) no problem and I didn't want to risk missing out on the new Stephen Baker questbook and exclusive minis.

Not that I don't have a few qualms. The price is a bit much, and I'm surprised the furniture and minis aren't different colors like the original game (I'm not a painter, I'd ruin them).

Regardless, here's to a renaissance of HeroQuest!

It’s different...but it’s the same...

I’ll admit I’m excited. I’m excited for new content and 1” squares. Do I like how all of it looks? No, but a lot of people hate other original minis and so forth, it happens. Not a deal breaker. I already have every other piece of HeroQuest so why not add this one? CANNOT wait for Stephen Baker Quest Book!! It sucks our friends over the pond can’t get grabby yet with this. I’m sure it will come. I also believe once manufacturing costs are covered the price will drop and it will hit stores. I watched the timer tick down while at work and instantly placed my Mythic Tier order. (Have to have the extras and expansions.) Basically it’s new canon so it’s exciting.

I think my biggest hope for this is that I will finally be able to pick up all of the other expansions as they continue to roll with this in the future. The Mythic Tier is exactly what I have now, but the reason that I don't have the rest is because I didn't get them (didn't realize they existed) years ago. That, and purchasing any one of the single expansions is not only a rare opportunity, but costs near $500, which is more than I'm willing to spend on an Ogre Horde :/
I have plans in action to piece my missing expansions together, but the opportunity to just purchase a completed expansion box for a reasonable price is huge for me. If it happens, I'm going to get them all.
Had to do it, I think I'd be upset later if I don't. Mythic Tier for me, and happy for it!
