Don't know. Maybe you can contact the author to this

Thank you for the map, good job!

Then, as far as I guess, is #29 the dark tower of Kaltrac? If yes, should such name be written in the map?

I was just looking at this post on Dave Morris blog and read the following text which may fit good in this topic:
Dave Morris wrote:I don't recall there being a Heroquest world at the time I wrote the first book, so I created part of one and drew my own map of it. By the time I was asked to write the second book, Games Workshop had designed their own version of the world, which included some of the place names from my novella but with a quite different geography "loosely based on the Warhammer world" as it said in the front. I just mention that because if you refer to the map from the second book while reading the first, you will see that the route the characters take makes no sense. One view at the time was, "Well, it's for ten-year-olds," but I can tell you that when I was ten that sort of thing would've annoyed the hell out of me.

Behold, a totally fake, totally non-canon map I've been working on, obviously based directly on previous work... (yes I just took the AHQ map and adjusted it for the remake)

Thanks! I'm glad you like it and I hope it helps.

Hey spooky, based on the work you have done, does this map align with the terrain you were working with?

I am wondering, is there a way to print this one out in sections?

You can actually download the image. Once you do that you should be able to crop it in an image editing program and print those sections out.

How you download the image? I don't see a way to r-click it or the .jpg in the browser download tools.

If we ever get serious about a Hero Quest Risk, this would be a great place to start: throw in the canonical names, make up or take a few from Warhammer, divide the map into terrifies and continents, I already got a list of factions that would be competing with special powers... Seems like it could be doable...

Hi there,
This thread kept me awake at night  and now I am trying to represent all quests from HQ Revised edition on the Big map with little white and colored flags:
Image

This is far from perfect and I had to modify some things but most of the locations are based on the discussions from this thread.
My mindset is to keep the map as Canon as possible but I don't mind cheating a bit so it fits better for the story or the game.

White flags are for the HeroQuest Revised Edition Quest Book 1, "Gathering storm" quests.
Anywho, First thing that comes to mind is the fact that the order in the HQ Revised edition generate a lot of back & forth on the map. But I'll see about that and maybe change the order to make this a little more straight forward.
Feel free to comment and suggest changes if you think something is odd or can be better situated.

Now about the red flag, which is intended for the Kellar's Keep quests, I struggle with the position. Anyone has an Idea on where would it make sense for me to put the red flags ? I was thinking maybe from the SouthEast of Black Water up through the North East (Around Grom Peak). I'll be glad if anyone has an opinion on that.

Thanks and good job for this amazing thread guys!
