I know. I can draw, but skill has slipped quite a bit. I spend ages trolling on Google for the right image or images to make the right artwork or image I need.

The use of potions and spells to save yourself from death in the us game is a rule change. I forget the exact words but the eu are pretty clear that as soon as you reach 0bp you are dead and your character should immediately be removed from the game.

I dont play 0BP=death anyway, not when dealing with my kids. Unless they are the only one in the room with the monsters. Not only are they dead, but their gear is gone too.
If another player is in the room, they are 'unconscious' and can be revived by someone healing them or moving next to them and giving them a potion. Or carrying them out of the dungeon, 1 Standard die for movement.

We will have to agree to disagree. Unfortunately with rules, using the 'It's obvious' card is shakey ground with rules lawyers. This can be interpreted either way. To me it's obvious that a character could save himself in his last dying moments before he dies, but the rules don't mention this, they only say 'at any time'? just as they say you are dead at zero BP's. The two don't match unfortunately :?

But as I now only play NA rules, it is not a problem I have to address.

I thought about doing so 0BP exactly knocks you unconscious and a minus amount = death. They could wake up at the beginning of the next round on 1BP but they can't defend until then. And decided against it because I didn't think the rule complication was worth it.

I think it's more obvious if you've never seen the US rule. I didn't even know about the US version until coming here and that was definitely a new rule to me.

Being able to save your bacon as a last ditch is just good sportsmanship, especially in a more brutal game like I run.
Without last second saves, I couldn't run it as tough as I do.
So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you can win a hundred battles without a single loss.
If you only know yourself, but not your opponent, you may win or may lose.
If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.

Huh? :? It does seem more obvious that you can't do that if you've never come across that rule before. The original rules don't say anything about being able to save a hero after death but it specifically says a hero dies and is removed if their BP drops to zero.

The original rules also say a potion can be taken at any time, so I could say that it is even more obvious that it can be taken when you hit zero BP's. Then you could say that it is even more obvious +1, and I could say...well you get the picture. Shall we just agree to disagree please?
