Instead how about:

When attacking with a Dagger or Shortsword a monster who is adjacent to another hero you roll 3 extra dice.

What do you think?

I'd try this:

When you attack a monster who is adjacent to another Hero with a Dagger or Shortsword, roll three extra combat dice.

(You could keep "the" if you prefer, but I agree that "a" is an improvement.)

Oh and who did you get to create that beautiful tome that contains all the quests? I would LOVE to do that.

I'm not the author. I just fixed the typos (there were a lot), added images to the blank pages and changed the rules to my custom ones.

I see. Other than adding fixed movement what rule changes did you add? I couldn't really tell. And my initial question was how did you create the tome/book itself? Did you take all the pages to a professional printer? I would love to do the same or pay someone.

Fixed movements, extra ability for the Barbarian and Dwarf, more 3 spells for the Wizard. Elf was already very powerful, so he gets only +1 speed.

Yep, I took to a professional printer here in Brazil. You may find some alternatives online closer to you.

Hey Odanan, just wanted to see if you've corrected the Backstab description for your Assassin yet? And also I had a chance to play this character in a recent game and I think the 3 extra dice is a bit overpowered. Right out of the gate I'm rolling 4 combat dice 90% of the time. Once I get a short sword I'll be rocking 5 combat dice. So it really seemed excessive at least for vanilla HQ. I would personally scale it back to 2 dice in my humble opinion or maybe even 1. The character states the Assassin can't wear armor. Does that include helmets, bracers, or cloaks?
