I guess you meant Mighty Warriors.
This game was recycling all the Advanced HeroQuest plastic figures and some of the weapons and tiles artwork as well but was a totally different game:
the wizard hero in ahq is the evil wizard in Mighty Warriors, controlling the Skaven army.
The other 3 heroes are the players characters and must defeat the evil wizard.
The box had a table on the inside, where you have to roll your dice in: depending where the dice stopped it could give you a bonus or a malus on your roll.
I suspect it was a game they did to recycle the unsold sprue of the advanced heroquest figures.
Another bad thing of this game, the cover artwork were featuring a Dark Elves army but they never appear in the game.

The funny thing is the first time I saw somebody writing about it they called it that, even though it's Mighty Warriors. Ah well...

Talk about a plot twist!

Darn. Interesting story though. I'm guessing it's even more rare than the game it cannibalized?

Have you realized the HQ remake is +14 age? Interesting the age change... anybody knows why? Ah ok, could be the sharp objects too.

Child safety laws. If you mark your product for 13 and under, you have to spend tens of thousands of USD or more to have your product tested in the EU, USA and elsewhere. (We were quoted $50k for a small card based boardgame with no plastic.) It also takes a fair amount of time, delaying your release. Mark it 14+ and that all goes away.

Jeez, what a way to kill small game producers...

Wow, so everyone will think your game contains "mature" content (and limit sales to families with young children) when really it was just the possibility of a paper-cut.
