This was by far the best one for me because I thought that joke was over. Family Guy (not a big fan) did that so awesomely in one episode I was laughing for about half an hour. The fire starter suspect for those who know it. :) The best way to set up a joke is with a lesser joke so you drop your guard. ;)

Sad really. I can laugh now because we have cool mini makes like Thanos!

The dig on modular boards with the mini jumping through the door and falling off the table was awesome as well. This is my new #3.

Love it! That should have been the commercial back then. "You can make Gravity Land"!

Tally ho!

The Bard here, making a visit to these fine forums. I was directed here by a wily fellow in my comments on Youtube - I believe he is the originator of this topic!

I am glad you all liked my video. I speak only the truth in matter Heroquest (and all other matters of course).

You might be interested to know that the Fortress of Peril and Gravity Land are both actual scenarios I wrote up back in the day when I only had two copies of the game. All the original notes are lost to the sands of time, but memory holds out some details.

Gravity Land was a complete nightmare. The Evil Wizard player could roll to see if and where the game's centre of gravity would shift and there were special rules for 'falling' from one board to another. Basically, if the gravity shifted, everything that wasn't 'nailed down' would fall and take damage (except the elf). The dwarf had the ability to nail down any furniture he chose and came equipped with hob-nail boot that, for some reason, allowed him to refuse to fall.
The main challenge was keeping the boards in place and the only game of Gravity Land ever played ended when the blu-tac on one corner gave out and disaster followed. I believe that incident is why my Barbarian is missing his sword tip, though I cannot confirm this.

Of course, the ultimate version of Gravity Land would be played in a cube constructed of six boards with all the action happening on the inside and all the players gathered around it wondering if the game has finished... or even started yet.

Once you start digging you'll never be able to leave. ;)

:) Or you could play it on the outside.

By the way, my barbarian and elf swords broke in exactly the same places yours did. Good luck with those Mormons. |_P
