Random meat found in a dungeon must be good to eat, surely?

Secret Rule in Quest Notes: If any hero actually believes the Mutton Card and eats it, then the Hero is reduced by 1 Body Point and may only move a Max of 4 Squares until a healing potion or spell is used on said Hero.
So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you can win a hundred battles without a single loss.
If you only know yourself, but not your opponent, you may win or may lose.
If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.

Should be 2 movement squares and smells like a ruptured septic tank. Terrible idea to eat the mutton. I like the card but not the BP option.

Furthermore no Hero may end their turn adjacent to this hero until the nasty hero finds a source of water or someone uses a Water Element Spell as a cleaning spell to remove the funk.
In addition...! When ever this character ends his turn adjacent to another Hero, said Hero Must move before they act to get upwind of that nasty mutton eating freak of nature.

Yeah, so the mutton meat is just nasty. I've never really had to many problems with consecutive wondering monster draws. Though I reprinted all the cards to poker size which makes it way easier to shuffle and I also use different cards in my deck. If you have the expansion packs you have all the cards you need. I highly recommend trying the card stack below, it works out pretty darn good unless the person shuffling is terrible at shuffling.

Potion of Healing X3
Heroic Brew X1
Potion of Defense X1
Potion of Strength X1
Gem! X3
Jewels X2
Gold! 25gp X3
Gold! 15gp X3
Hidden Treasure! 150gp X1
Wondering Monster X6
Hazard! Arrow X2
Hazard! Pit X2
Poison! X1

I have never really experienced the issue.
What usually happens is the heroes search for a lot of treasure during the first half of the game.
Once they have either found an adequate amount of treasure or lost an adequate amount of BP they generally stop searching.

Searching for treasure should not be something you'd be stupid not to do in every single room. Then you could might as well just draw a card automatically.
The way it is now, it's always a gamble - which is much more fun.

But I guess it also depends a lot of the mentality of your group.
Everyone in mine think it's hilarious when someone draws a Wandering Monster.

Wandering monsters are seen as a waste of their time, heal potions and other expendables.
They typically go into one of my dungeons looking for the dude on the Wanted Poster or Item they came to recover. A wandering monster is just a distraction and time sink.
When that deck pulled so many Wandering Monsters in a row...that took the fun out of treasure hunts, made it look like a sucker play. They got 1 Gem and a Healing Potion for allot of wasted time and effort.
I can't say I blame them for not wanting to touch that deck anymore.
So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you can win a hundred battles without a single loss.
If you only know yourself, but not your opponent, you may win or may lose.
If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.
