Disarming pit trap?

If disarming traps is possible after they have been sprung, getting around fallen rocks would be easier... I mean, actually possible!

By the way. If a Pit Trap and Falling Rocks Trap have been placed on the same square (by a rotten bastard of an EWP) and are triggered at the same time, would it leave a hole, would it block the way, or would the rocks bury the Hero alive while fulling-up the hole for other Heroes to safely walkover? Better yet, could a Hero disarm both traps with one action - seeing how the Hero has to be in that square to disarm them - and even if you can disarm both, do you make a roll for both traps, or do you have to make two separate rolls?

I think most of this scenario gives itself. You step on the square and roll to disarm them one at a time - you pick in which order.
If you fail to disarm the first trap the second automatically triggers too. Now the following can happen:

1. Both are disarmed. yay
2. The pit is disarmed but the falling rocks triggers. You are hit by falling rocks as normal.
3. The falling rocks are disarmed but the pit triggers. You fall in a pit like normal.
4. You fail to disarm the first trap and both triggers! You take damage from both but...?

Now it gets tricky and can result in the following:

4.a. The markers are placed in the order they were triggered. You tried the pit first? Then you place a pit and then a rocks on top = rocks. Or rocks first and then a pit = pit. Hero takes damage from both, but reacts according to the rules of whatever trap is on top.
4.b. The pit is large enough to swallow the rocks = a pit is placed.
4.c. A hole + rocks = a filled hole. The damage is done, but the traps neutralize each other. Nothing is placed. Player is either standing on top or is buried forever.

But this is of course all hypothetical. No GM would ever place those two traps on the same square. R... right?
And the real question is: CAN you even place two things on the same square? I don't think there is precedence in the quest books?

There are also no precedence for monsters with range or diagonal attacks (at least not in the Quest Books I have), locking doors with keys found in other rooms, traps that trigger Chaos Spells, furniture coming to life as special monsters (think of the Mimic from D&D), or to actually placing secret doors and/or passageways within the bottom of Pit Traps (see page 19 in the US Rule Book), but there are no rules ruling them out.

Your quest, your rules. You can always do whatever you want in you own quests, but of course you'd have to actually write out how those rules actually work.
What I'm getting at is, if you wanted to make a quest using only "official" rules, would it be allowed to place two traps on the same square?

(Also I seem to remember some official orcs armed with crossbows in one quest. Can anyone confirm this?)

I would do so, that if fails to disarm both traps, he falls to pit trap, and dies as rocks fall to his neck. After that, other heroes and monsters can walk over pit trap as it's filled with rocks.

Actually that is quite good idea for a trap :P

But that would also mean that if a hero just stepped in the trap by accident he would be insta-killed?

That's crossing into chaoticprime territory!

Not if it's a macigal trap. And I would use it in a quest for fully maximized group of heroes, so if they don't search for traps, one of them deserve to die :D
