Note: Product Codes: Each part of the code identifies product (first four digits), country or language (the two letters) and release date (last 3 digits), so 4271GB489 = 4271(product, Heroquest base set) GB (appears to be based on IETF language tag, eg English - Great Britain is en-GB so "GB") 4 (month, april) 89 (year, 1989). The outside of the boxes feature only the main product code (4271 for example) and the country or language is indicated with a two digits number: 00 Germany, 01 France, 02 Great Britain, 03 Italy and so on.

HeroQuest Game System (North American Remake Edition)
Remake of the Classic Editions published in North America. This remake of the original Game System, Kellar's Keep and Return of the Witch Lord involved a considerable change to the rues and the subsequent "feel" of the game although the initial run kept to the established storyline established by the Game System, Kellar's Keep and Return of the Witch Lord, (AtOH and WoM were never included in this remake) but this was later expanded with an intended expansion pack for each hero type although only the Barbarian and Elf packs were published (see HeroQuest lost Quest Packs: Wizard and Dwarf Quest Pack)
