@wallydubbs
I did not play FH with new heroes. The Barbarian and Dwarf were experienced from the GS. The Dwarf played KK, while the Barbarian was in RotWL. All the GS heroes played through PoT and so all had Rings of Fortitude afterwards, which proved valuable in the harder packs. The Druid went through New Beginnings and RotWL before doing FH. The Monk played through SQT before FH.
I had no extreme difficulty getting through MotM with the mentioned party. The Elf with Elven Chain Mail, Elven Bracers, and a Ring of Fortitude was a beast. The Wizard had two Rings of Fortitude because he stole one from a hero who found it either from New Beginnings or SQT (I don’t really remember). The Rogue using a Battle Axe with 5 attack dice was so helpful against the big monsters. Keep in mind I was playing on the app which makes things much easier, and the Ogres only have 5 BP now. Also the party collectively amassed well over 100 healing potions up to this point, so they had a very safe cushion. While I did use more potions than usual during FH and MotM, I still made it without having to use very many. If you look up my posts in the Companion App discussion, I give a general run down of how things went. It starts from the beginning, until my current point in RotDM. I periodically give running totals of wealth and potions acquired as I progress.
The first time a hero appears on my list is when they join the party as a new hero. Any mention of them after that point is them returning as an experienced hero. The only time I ever used 4 new heroes at once were the GS, FL, and CoPD. I believe the only exception is the Berserker in RotDM. She is a new hero, and not the same one that I used in CoPD. The heroes I used in CoPD are their own thing and won’t be mixed with the main pool of heroes.
