Different door bases

Postby Zeus » August 28th, 2023, 3:52 am

Hi,

I was sorting out my HQ components (I often share game components across games, and the HQ furniture and doors are probably the most-shared ones), and I noticed that I have 2 types of HQ door base, with one type being a bit lower. I do have exactly 21 of them, so they surely must have come with one of the HQ games that have come and gone over the years. Can anyone tell me which set had these lower versions of the door bases? Did the New Edition maybe come with these, or just newer print runs in general? Or are these knock-offs from another game, or replacement parts or something like that?

Thanks, Patrick

Shorter bases are Heroquest Advanced Quest, not sure if it featured in other international game systems. :cookie:

is that what we know in Europe (or the Netherlands at least) as the New Edition, the version that came with the 12 henchmen from the earlier Wizards of Morcar expansion and a different set of missions (a foldout poster)?
