Good choice of picture. It evokes a deep sense of mystery and wonder. So eager to read what lies beneath it's cover.

I just wanted to say thank you to all you guys for all your support with this project and give you guys a quick update. I just finished another quest today using the DS city board with a twist. Some of the twist from this quest came from something I found awhile ago and I liked the idea a lot - http://yeoldeinn-heroquest.blogspot.com ... own-2.html
The biggest thing I took away from this post was that this person made roof over lays for the DS city board. I used this idea for the said quest I just finished today. The roof over lays that I did for the DS city board will be part of the download for this quest pack. Here is a look at those roof tiles:
Image
I should explain the layout of these roofs a bit. The roof to the bottom left on this board that has the over hanging look is for a larger tavern tile I wanted to use. The tile is meant to be laid over a few rooms on that part of the board, it also over hangs the game board it's self. Not only did using this tile give me a bigger tavern layout but it also allowed me to add a roof top patio onto the tavern that doubled as a roof for the business below. By finishing this quest, that brings the rough total of completed quests to 4 out of 10. At least that is the number of quests I'm shooting for. The quest that I'm counting as the 4th quest done is the only quest that I did not personally create. The creator of this quest goes by the name Junkie. If anyone knows how to get a hold of this person please let me know. I have tried a few times with no success. The quest is called "Buon Sange Non Mente" translated it says "Good Blood does not Lie". I have done all the translations for this quest, you can download and see the original quest here:

The next quest that I will attempt to complete will have the heroes aboard a ship. This will be the first quest to this whole quest pack. If anyone has any ideas on how to run a quest while the heroes are on board a ship it would be great to hear from you. I have my own ideas but my biggest fear in doing a quest like this is to keep it exciting enough so players don't get board while in a restricted space.

Ah cool like that you can hide the entire content and the layout, both! You can remove a roof overlay and put another overlay for the basement, and another for the cellar :-)

Hello All,

I did mean to post this sample of my first quest from my expiation pack called Uncharted Water back in March, shortly after I made the post that I was still working on the project. Long story short here is the first look at it now. Sorry it took me so long to post this.

quest 1
Voyaging from the Empire (Working Title)

Quest Notes:
The Heroes have been at sea for months and not really seeing any land. Then from the crow's nest high above the main deck you hear the shouts of land ho to port, that echoes through the ship. As the Captain gives the helmsman the order to turn the ship hard to port bring the sight of the land mass directly in front of the bow of the ship. As the ship moves further ahead on this heading, the land mass seems to be shrinking rather than getting larger with their approach. Until it fades away under the waves before the ship reaches it. Making all on the deck question weather they really did see land or if it was a Fata Morgana (a Mirage at Sea). Moments later all hell breaks loose on the ship as it feels as though the ship has gotten struck hard by something. The crack against the ship's Hull can be heard and felt throughout the ship. Then with a sudden jolt the whole ship Lists to port knocking all off there feet and launching the one in the crows nest into the sea. Straight after the ship Lists it starts righting it's self like a bobber in water.

Here is what the board for this quest looks like:
Image
This image shows how the board looks after the ship Lists, then rights it's self. At this point shown in the image all on the main deck know that it must have been the Turtle Dragon that hit their ship from underneath. Note: also at this point all on the ship should still be getting up of the deck and are all scattered on the port side of the ship. At this point the Turtle Dragon is heading for the Hero in the water to grab it's snack before moving on to attack the ship.

Just looking at the layout of the icons on the ship will show you how everything should be set up at the start of the quest before anything happens and before the Turtle Dragon surfaces on the port side of the ship. Heroes are placed on the X's over the whole ship deck. The Hero in the crows next gets put on the X in the water after the ship Lists and before the Turtle Dragon surfaces. While this Hero is in the water I got to figure out if they can swim and how. This would also apply to anyone else that happens to get in the water. Also this is the ship that Mentor has booked for the Heroes for their Voyage, so all on board are allies and work with the Heroes for the whole quest. The object of this quest is to rescue the Hero in the water alive and fight off the Beast using cannons and life boats.

Here is the tile to be used for the Turtle Dragon:
Image
I still need to figure out the spaces it can move and how far out on the board it should start as it makes it's way to attack. I know I want it to be able to move forward and back. From side to side like a Rook in chess. Also thinking about letting it dive during the battle only to resurface somewhere else. Plus I have to figure out how many spaces it can move and what it's stats should be. I view this creature to have summerly high stats like that of the Octopus built into the Deadly Grotto tile found here at the Inn. For that monster it can't move as two of it's eight tentacles are holding in place in the Grotto. While it uses it's other six tentacles to fight the Heroes. I don't remember what it's hits point were to kill it, but there was a conversion about it either here or at Old Scratches Site. I just can't find that conversion again.

I would love to hear your guys thoughts on this quest and if you guys can give me any tips or insight about it to improve it that would be great.
