Of all the methods suggested I can't help but feeling that the Skull Counters placed under the monster figure to record the BP lost may be the better one...

And text for including and using skull tiles in SE I would suggest

When a monster loses Body points but still has at least one Body points remaining, place a Skull Tile under the monster figure on the gameboard for each Body point lost. When the number of skull tiles matches or exceeds the Monster's Body point total then the monster is eliminated and removed from the board.

Add skull tiles to the component list and note not included in SE but included in NA edition

Another idea for tracking Monster Body Points from “Bag of Dungeon” game, you add a monster BP tracker to the character sheet, with a token and use that to track the BP of the monster you are fighting. Obvious in HQ this has the slight flaw that you may move away from a monster whilst it is still living or fight more than one, so there would need to be a secondary system, but most of the time you will be fighting only 1 monster until death (either yours or its) so this may only be a minor flaw.

Also, it would mean the EWP revealing the number of BP that a monster has, but in most cases again this isn’t going to be a surprise.

I just always remembered which monsters had what Body Points. It was never a problem keeping track. The only time we ever used markers was for boss characters. Each point of damage we tossed a tile in a pile or stack behind the game screen as a formality. The player’s kept track too in the event of a rare discrepancy.

I could see it being a problem for the FH and MotM packs since a number of regular monsters have boss stats and 5 or 6 BP.
