For me it says delivery Jan. 18 with Prime. I'm assuming the long lead means they don't physically have it in their warehouses yet. They're still on the boat from China, which also means delivery date could yet change if one buys it now.

After much speculation, the official release date according to Hasbro Pulse is still February 1st, 2023. However Amazon.com I see is actually listing it no longer as "pre-order" but "Buy Now." In the US at least, it appears it can be purchased right now and is expected to deliver between Dec 28th and Jan 18 or 19th.

If you do choose to place an order with them, keep in mind the shipping price is for "prime" and make sure you're actually getting it from Amazon rather than one of those 3rd party sellers (you'll notice those aren't shipping until April or September).

Thanks to Bob Boivin and Liorlec in the HeroQuestFans discord for the tip! |_P

Well I have said it ever since the Guardian Knight debacle, I don't "pre-order" this stuff, I order it. So a nice little gift for myself (and the stream) for after Christmas and New Years? Sounds good to me.

I was thinking HeroQuestFans stream will be finishing up Frozen Horror around the time most people are getting this new one anyway, and we'll finally get to see an unboxing and what has changed, how the companion app handles it, any free quest errata/playtest, etc. 2-5 weeks early, wow!

I ordered mine on US Amazon, it said it would deliver between "Dec 28-Jan 19th."

If you order it now it will say Jan 4-5 expected delivery. So still well ahead of the official HasbroPulse Feb 1st release date at MSRP. Entertainment Earth still says "Pre-order" for January 2023. BigBadToyStore says Pre-Order for February 2023.

I went ahead and ordered it (with Prime, and Amazon is not referring to it as a pre-order in spite of extended delivery expectations) on Dec. 9 and my latest expected delivery update is between Dec. 30 and Jan. 2. I'm located in the Illinois side of the St. Louis metro area.

Neat stuff, I wonder when the Companion App will be updated with the Mage quest pack and the "new" Elf hero?

I see that the Hasbro Customer Care page for the Frozen Horror still leads to the German edition (even though it says English for the link to it). I presume that stuff will appear around the time of the official release date plus any "prelude" style free quest as in previous releases.

Keep an eye out. I'll be offline for big portions of the rest of the month with Christmas stuff so might miss something, but if you see it, please post it here, wherever you find it (discord, instagram, twitch, reddit, etc)! Happy Holidays

I think I'm going to say right now, for purposes of using the Elven monsters as allies in this new pack, that as Zargon I'm going to treat the "Elf exclusive" potions as being able to be used by these characters as well as the Rogue Heir of Elethorn hero. Now with the latter, would "two attacks" stack with his existing abilities? I would say no. If you already have two attacks, using something that gives you two attacks would not equal four attacks. It just means you'd get two attacks, but the great thing is that it would stack any other abilities and extend the duration that you could use two attacks, in theory. I'm inclined to allow it since these packs are so tough, but not say that you could buy so many of these potions that you end up with like twenty attacks or something absurd (someone might try to argue that they don't just stack, but it's a multiplier! that's too OP/minmaxing/powergamer cheating). I'm also going to say that if the Rogue (especially if he's replacing the Elf in the party) gets the Elf exclusive artifacts, he can use them too. If both he and the Elf are playing how would I stop them from fighting over them? I'd give preference to the classic Elf there I think, because that's how it was originally designed, but if he dies, the Rogue could inherit and use them.

Well, on Reddit has been finally posted from UK a full set of unboxing pictures of Mage of the Mirror, cards texts included:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Heroquest/comm ... _to_me_uk/

In a first look to the cards, here are my comments:

Firstly, I can confirm that Alchemist's Shop's potions rules and their gold prices are exactly the same as in the classic expansion. I think this detail is important because, unfortunately, in my opinion it compromises the gold prices of some potions from Prophecy of Telor's Alchemist's Shop, where Potion of Magic and Potion of Healing seems to be unnormally cheap there, compared with Potion of Superior Restoration and Potion of Recall from Mage of the Mirror.

Additionally, another doubt has been clarified with these pictures: Fortunately, Hasbro has changed the name of classic Potion of Restoration from Mage of the Mirror to Potion of Superior Restoration, which means it will have a different name than the ones from Kellar's Keep and Return of the Witch Lord, which have different rules, so GOOD NEWS.

And more details... Reanimation Dread Spell and Elven Bracers Artifact are still included in the pack as cards, so will they finally have a correct appearance inside the quest book? To Be Confirmed.

And as already known, Ogres Body Points have been reduced from 10 to 5, good news too, in my opinion.... however, the Dread Spell Restore Dread still restores up to 6 Body Points to any monster withing the spellcaster line of sight, like in the classic edition of this expansion... but one moment!! if now Ogres have just 5 BPs, is there still any monster in this Quest Pack with 7 or more Body Points??? If not, the rules of this spell are now looking quite weird, isn't it? or do they still make sense? Unfortunately, probably not too much...

And finally, as far as I have checked the cards, the rest of all their rules seem to be exactly the same as their classic edition ones. There is not any relevant change for the remake, at least on the cards.

I think the Restore Dread spell healing 6 body points is not an issue, considering people can still make their own quests, and future releases of new material may have certain creatures with 7 or more body points.

For now it’s basically just a full heal spell the enemy can use. It leaves room for creative uses in the future.

Same goes for the Reanimation spell. The original NA version had chaos spells that were never used in the quest book, but appear later in the expansions. I see Reanimation as just another tool a quest creator can use for custom quests. You could even introduce the spell in a reworked quest the heroes initially failed. Sure, you can change up the layouts and monsters, why not the spells too?

Yeah, of course you are right, that stuff could be easily used in custom creations. That's been a very old topic for discussion through the Community since the beginning, I guess.

Wow, big surprises on the fast release! Thanks to you all!

I posted the images that HispaZargon showed me that were appearing on facebook from the first fan unboxing (those are great) but I put them here. I suppose a moderator could move them to this thread and that would be even better..
