Crazy small world! I live in Southfield Area! Michigan seems to be a hot spot for HQ.

Hi brlinzy. Welcome!

The figures appear to be roughly the same size as the original, but the bases may be a slight bit larger, I think because some of the molded ones I have from the original game system are maybe a millimeter or two smaller in width and length. They do still fit on the squares of my original game board, however.

Check out my link above to see some photos of the figures! I haven't reached champion status just yet so I'm unable to attach them to my posts. Soon, I hope. :)

Hi devarionarias - I'm a new member to the forum myself, great things here. Played Hero Quest ever since I was a kid back in the late 80's and early 90's. Quick question as I also found those 3D prints but haven't used yet - are the miniatures size the same as the originals? Would you mind maybe posting some photos of how they came out? I'm debating to hunting down some originals or creating my own with a printer. Thanks!

She's up there now!

I printed her two times. First her shield didn't come out all the way and the second print, her sword was partially missing so I spliced the better two halves together by cutting it with an x-acto and super-gluing back together. Turned out pretty good.

Sure! I don't think I have the ability to post photos here yet, so I've pasted a link below to a shared folder on my oneDrive with them. The only one which I have not printed yet is the female barbarian, but she's printing as we speak.

You'll notice the detail on them isn't as good, but I think it's because the model is a 3D scan and I've had to print them with supports and some of the support material wasn't coming off. All-in-all still pretty good in my opinion.

I am still trying to clean them all up a bit and remove more of the support material so I may update the photos as I go.

There's no scans (least that I've found) of the mercenary miniature from the Barbarian set so I found a model of a town guard on thingiverse and made a few minor alterations to the model. It has removeable arms which I've had some success at attaching them with Loctite wall tack, but may in the end just glue them on and print more.
