Sweet, just downloaded it. Now I just need to wait for my game to arrive!
Couple things I noticed:
- So far it's a little buggy. If you continue before letting Mentor finish speaking you get this weird overlay of Mentor trying to finish the previous text and reading the next set of text at the same time.
- I noticed that it seems to only contain the quests from the base game. Maybe expansions are unlocked later or maybe you need to give proof of purchase to access them, don't know yet.
- The custom quest building function that they talked about when they first announced the app seems to not exist, or if it does, I can't find it anywhere.
- In app settings allow for the following languages: English, Italian, German, Spanish, and French. Hopefully this means that they're planning to release the game in those languages as well.

Not sure of an iOS link, here's the Android version:

Bummer if you don't have a smart phone, unless they are releasing a desktop version...
At least it appears to be free...

I guess I could try running the app off the (super slow) bluestacks emulator on my desktop.. . .

Cael Darkhollow wrote:Ok I did a test run of the App first quest The Trial against the gargoyle. Pretty cool. Voice acting ain't bad. thematic music, colors and graphics are cool. Everything I expected I suppose. You would need at least dice to actually play it, or you could crack out your board game for full on solo play. However the turns, damage, movement amounts, searching etc., are totally up to you so it isn't a video game, it is a tutorial. You can say when it is Zargon's turn, when monsters have been defeated, if you got hurt etc. It updates the board conditions only (rooms/area revealed, monster movements...if you let zargon have turns that is)
If only there were roll randomizers on screen for movement and combat, then it would be portable HeroQuest where you could actually play it on your phone.
Now if we could somehow have the vintage original game look (and actual gameplay) I would be over the moon.
