Chieftain and lord: left hand?

I'm in the process of doing rough 3D models for the missing ogre characters from this expansion, and now that I really look at these two characters (the pictures I can find), I can't really understand what it is that they have for left hands. Based on the pictures on YeOldeInn's miniatures page I was just going to use the same left hand as warrior and champion and put a slightly modified goblin sword in it, but based on this picture it's just a mess of... something and a blade: https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-tSV_9qbLg84/U5a8_ZSgA8I/AAAAAAAADpY/CCrd5saoc0Q/s1600/Ogres-01.jpg

So what is it really? There might be some elbow padding down there at least, can't tell much else.

it's an iron fist with a blade on the top and a spike on the side.
Ogre Warrior has a different arm from the Ogre champion (flexed)

There is also some chain mail there. A huge spike connected to the iron fist, with mail coming from the fist down towards the elbow, and the whole lot bound together with leather straps.
It’s a weapon that makes sense to ogres, I suppose.

Looking at the pictures on the ogre cards and page 5 of the quest book it looks a lot more like an armored arm than the messy blob on the actual figure, so I think I'll take some liberties in emphasizing the armness of the arm when I get around to it.

Ok, let's try this. I reacquainted myself with my very olde Photobucket account, and it was not a pleasant experience. Anyway, watermarks and all, here's my current and probably pretty final draft of the Ogre Chieftain:



Might want to make the longer spike curved at some point. Maybe.

Nice work. It kinda looks like he's flipping the bird. An inside joke from the original sculpters? There is a certain punk quality to some of the designs.
