Key to the Kingdom

Postby Nephew of Mentor » January 16th, 2013, 9:54 pm

Has anyone looked into this game? it has a new baddie, and a group of identically shaped but different colored heroes. They might serve well as alternative mercenaries.
Sure it's pretty scary when the witch lord returns but what you should really be afraid of is "Resurrection of the Witch Lord". Resurrected baddies always come back more threatening than ever, usually kind of demonic with wings and horns and hell fire to announce their arrival. Think Gannondorf or Mother Brain from Super Metroid.

Those minis don't really look appealing to me to be honest. Fun looking board though. Here's a review:

I played this when i was younger, from what i remember it was fun. It was pretty easy to kill other players by flipping the board though.

Are the minis fairly close in size? I know the minis aren't pretty, but they could have their purposes.

The Flash bbcode is used to embed video, but a couple years ago, Google changed the URL format for YouTube and now you need to muddle with it to get it to work. I'll check to see if phpbb.com has developed a better solution for embedding YouTube videos.

There we go. If you hover over the new YouTube bbcode, the help description will tell you how to use it.

I played this one when I was a kid. My friend got it for his birthday or something and we were huge HeroQuest addicts by that point and it looked pretty HeroQuest-y... but it turned out to play more like the board game "the Game of Life" than HeroQuest. We did like the interesting fold out board, but after a couple plays it went back onto the shelf and we went back to HeroQuest. :D

The game of fantasy life, haha, I like it.
