The Ogre Horde....

Warrior, Champion, Chieftain and Lord.

Note here, that three out of the four ogre types become "large" (two-square) sized monsters.

Personally, I would have cut off the original base at the feet of the miniatures and glued the feet to the plastic caps you're using. Right now it tends to look a bit awkward if you ask me; as if they're standing on a stepping stone of sorts.

I thought about it, but was also thinking if I ever did get some better bases, I'd want to be able to more easily remove them without damaging the original miniature. The only integral bases I did trim were the "mutants" (frost devils) as their bases were huge, and then only on the outer edges. I tried to pick characters with minimal bases, but a few of them are taller than others. I could have "smoothed out" the bases by adding more material (perhaps acrylic putty) but this would have taken up a lot more time and money than I was willing to invest for such a minimal aesthetic improvement.

There's also the issue of the figures having different levels of stability were I to completely remove the integral base. I'm after all storing these in a padded container, but if only the tiny feet were glued, they might come lose during travel, so I wanted to avoid that as well. But each to his own, thanks for the feedback!
