No criticism, just praise. I remember my fist HQ Goblins in the 90s lacking a prime coat and gray swords--fail!
Goblin-King wrote:Skeletons can be painted with varying degrees of rust on the blades.
You can also paint the bones either skull white, brownish bone or yellowish bone.
I've painted four glowing blue to be used as the Spirit Riders in RotWK.
You could also give them glowing eyes.

Have you posted pics of these yet? That's a cool idea!

I finally finished the dreaded skeletons. These got really old quickly, but I took some breaks in between groups to paint some more interesting subjects. Here are a couple quick shots, more can be seen on my blog at https://darthtomsgaming.wordpress.com/2016/12/20/skeletons-from-classic-heroquest/

I rather like these. They are very neat.
Kudos for bothering to paint so many!

Any particular reason for painting just a couple with rusty blades or is it just for variety?

Oh. Wow.
Much more tidy than my style, and I like it very much.
What a brushstroke! Superb blending on the bone and the scythes.

And the quality of the scythes is very high. That's some awesome NMM!
I like the rust, too, but some of these NMM scythes should indeed shine.

Very well done!

You did that just to annoy me. Go on. Confess!

I couldn't paint so clean if I wanted to, and certainly I wouldn't paint so many!

Thank you all for the praise. Several of you have commented on the number that I have painted... I didn't buy the actual expansions for KK and RotWK, but I believe this is the correct number total, no? 4 for the base game and 8 for RotWK? I really hope I didn't waste time paining more than were necessary!

Brilliant skeletons! I looked on your blog and like your goblins too! Such a clean crisp and bright paint job :)
Please PM me if any of my old links to files are currently down. I am in the process of hosting them somewhere new!

Tomcat364, these Goblins and Skeletons are just insane! I almost have no words for how good they look.

As a beginner I'd like to start painting some of my miniatures as well. As I like your style very much: Do you have some tipps for creating such Goblins and Skeletons?

I've already read and watched some tutorials but maybe you could list your different painting steps, as I don't want to f*** up my miniuatures.

Would be great to get some hints by a pro ;)

Best,

Andy
