Barbarian Incarnate

Postby ampersand » August 4th, 2013, 8:59 am

ok ill try this here as I tried this over at old scratch's and didn't quite get the response I was hoping for.
basically im writing up a blog based around all of the character. namely this time the barbarian. I want my post to be informative and give the reader lots of options and show off everyones takes on the barbarian.

here was my original post
im currently creating a new barbarian for heroquest and to tie in with this I wanted to make a nice little blog post on the evolution of heroquest muscle bound brute!
even to this day the only figure I no longer own is the barbarian. my favourite character! got stepped on many moons ago. so id always just used any barbarian I had lying around.
more recently I believed I had found a replacement and have been using him ever since

here he is a celtos figure called mannanan or something like that (I cant say this without the muppet show theme tune jumping into my head)

Image

well that's my old barbarian. and ive now finished my new one. and still don't have much of informing readers on all the choices the hardcore elite have been making.
so roll up folks. lets see you barbarians. repaints - customised versions - proxies.
anything you like that you use to represent your barbarian.

lets see em :)
cheers

I'll also repost this here then. The Talisman 3rd edition barbarian and the Warhammer Quest one.
I really like these old GW miniatures and I'm using a whole bunch of them in my quests. (an HQ base is mandatory though)

ahh so you did. sorry for missing that one. due to the lack of responses over there I kinda haven't checked it the last few days. hoping to get a better response this side though :)

nice choices. im also a big fan of the older figures. ive got ruck loads sitting upstairs in boxes. nice tidy paint jobs there too dude, very crisp. and once again great choices :barbarian:

Here's my barbarian and a female barbarian.

I've also got a primed HQ barbarian with an axe to replace his broken sword. He's gonna be painted dark skinned.

Here's my take on the original Barbarian, with his Battle Axe upgrade and sheathed Broadsword.

Great muscle bound brawlers to be found in here. :)

My addition, though and Elf photo-bombed the shoot :
