Mansions of Madness 2nd edition

Anyone played this or own it? I have it. I expected awesomeness when I got it, but was kinda disappointed after playing a few times. Wondering if someone can provide me incentive to give it another chance, or even just discuss the game in general. Sad thing is I spent more than a couple hours constructing foamcore component trays and hacking up the box insert to make more secure storage for all the parts and give more organized access to them during play.
