Link is broken... website down?

Got it working without a hitch... only thing is, I was hoping it would have all those cool "scroll" background graphics and formatting... I guess this is just the basic look with the quest notes & text.

Edit: I have found that after creating a quest and saving it, if I re-start the program and try to open the XML it gives me an byte error.

Can't help with the error you get.
And... yes, it is just the basic layout, no graphic in the layout, unfortunately.

It happens when I modify or create a hero quest map in the new Hero Scribe and then try to re-open it (see screen cap below):

Ok, I have to take care.
This is a version of HeroScribe that was intended to solve the problem of texts,
which it doesn't.

My tip:
Open your quest xml file with a text editor (notepad++ for example) and check it. No worries. It is readable.
