I love both versions; some people have the expansions whist others don’t. I think we need both :D

I think your version works well for who only has the base set or doesn't want to spoil the 3 other groups of spells that will be revealed later in the game with the Wizards of Morcar pack.
I just don't like the part with the Dwarf (G note) because it is not related to any spell in particulat but just good to earn some money, wich is not he purpose of this quest.
There are already the Barbarian and the Elf in the game, there is no need to drop on the board ALL the stuff we have in our box. I think it's better to focus on few things in each quest; if you put too much things, too many notes it generate confusion. Especially because this is a quest intended to be played by a Wizard that is still running trhough the original 14 quests of the base-game.

Also, I like the revision 3.0 from ClemCrt, it is more clear in the notes and offers hint to the sorcerer about a proper use of the spells.
There is just the option that the Wizard could use Pass Through Rock to arrive in the corridor around the central room skipping half of the quest but is definetely his best version.

I agree its not a really useful room, BUT here are a few points why I kept it in my version:

-I want my version to be heavily based in the original V2, I mean its his thing, I dont wanna "steal" the quest so I keep it as close to the original as possible.
-The story, in the story the Wizard is going to there to help a group of Heroes so I think its ideal that all 3 other Heroes exist in the quest.
-There is this draft that the original creator made, and this room was marked as X. I always considered it a "bonus" room, it doesn't affect the quest and its literally optional.
-I just released I should add a potion of Holy Water. So a spell might not be useful in that room but a beginner player would get to use Holy Water.

This really developed into a super-interesting thread. I hope you are not too angry with me that I lured you back here Clement.

SOOO for whoever is following my version (the one based on the Game System only).
I finally had the chance to playtest it with my group's Wizard so I got the quest finalized.
The final version is ready.

There was not that much to change since the quest has already been worked a lot.
Just some text and typos but mostly balance the game a little bit more for a beginner Wizard.
This quest is meant to be an introduction for a new Wizard.
The whole point of the quest is to learn when to use your spells and I think it really does that.
It's a little hard for a beginner Wizard but if he chooses his magic wisely he will be able to make it (barely).

ENJOY!

It might be finalized but im still open to suggestions, if you guys have a couple good suggestions I will rework it again, but for now its finished.
