Im thinking about making a heroquest player's handbook and I need to know if making it with pdf will be free. I want it like The Imperial Academy
if it's not free, then how else could I make this?

There are several free programs that allow you to export in PDF. Open office is a free office program similar to Microsoft Word. It will allow you to export as a PDF file. There is also PDFEdit which allows you to do a lot of things with PDFs, but also has an option to integrate with Microsoft Word to "Print to PDF". Whereby it fools MSWord into thinking it's sending the document to a printer, but it's really sending it to PDFEdit, which then converts the output into a PDF. There are other similar programs out there too, but those are the two I know of. Otherwise it's all Photoshop and Acrobat PDFs. Programs with big price tags.
